In 2016, the Álava Regional Government launched the Ágora initiative, a social participation and innovation process to enable people and organisations in Álava to collaborate in the identification of projects contributing to the revitalisation of the Province. One of the challenges identified in this process is the so-called “Industry 4.0”. Once they complete Ágora, the members of this working group intend to continue working collaboratively in this field.
The ‘Grupo de Trabajo ARABA 4.0 Talde Lana’ working group has been founded as a result of this. Its objective is to coordinate and promote pre-existing initiatives in Álava in the field of “Industry 4.0” and to facilitate the start-up of other fresh initiatives. The website araba40.eus is one such example, having been started to give visibility to and promote knowledge of all the available resources and initiatives in this field in Álava.
